Kelly Newlin
Board-Certified Nurse Coach | NSI Certified Trainer | Epic Workflow Optimization Specialist | Co-Founder, Guardians of the Gift
With over 20 years of nursing experience, Kelly has specialized in trauma, organ donation, and transplant care. As a Board-Certified Nurse Coach and certified Nervous System Intelligence (NSI) trainer, she combines clinical expertise with evidence-based strategies to support burnout prevention, emotional resilience, and sustainable performance in high-pressure healthcare environments.
She is passionate about designing workflows that support not only efficiency, but also psychological safety, collaboration, and team well-being. Her comprehensive approach helps healthcare professionals stay grounded and connected, even in the most complex and emotionally charged situations.
Transplant has been close to Kelly’s heart since childhood — her grandmother received a life-saving kidney transplant when Kelly was just four. She brings the unique perspective of having been a donor family member, recipient family member, and coordinator on both sides of the process.
Kelly is also a frequent speaker on resilience, leadership, and nervous system-informed care — most recently presenting at the 2025 NATCO Annual Conference.
She has served on the OPTN Heart Committee and currently serves on an advisory committee for the Child Loss Foundation.
